Security in the King James Bible
When I first met my wife, she was not King-James-only. She read the NIV. But after explaining to her the superiority of the KJB, she decided to switch.
It's been about seven years since then. And my wife's faith in the King James has grown tremendously. She's more King-James-only now than most.
Recently my wife said something that struck me. She said, "Being King-James-only gives me a sense of security I never knew I needed."
I thought about it, and it's so true. So many Christians today are swimming in a vast ocean of confusion. Checking different versions. Comparing different translations. What does the ESV say? What does the NIV say? What does the NKJV say? There's no definitive truth. It's this everlasting search for something concrete.
1 Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
Once you learn to trust the King James Bible for what it is - the "incorruptible" word of God, it gives your heart and mind a sense of comfort that cannot be over-valued. You don't need to wonder anymore. Maybe another translation rendered it better?
No. It's all there in the King James. It's perfect. It cannot be corrupted.
